The front-end developer (lead) is part of the Orbit core team and is the single point of contact for all related front-end activities. On a daily basis, you make sure that all the front-end activities are being done properly and you develop components yourself as well. Together with other parties, you are involved in decision making when it comes to the overall architecture and direction of the design system code. Orbit is the Global Design System of Randstad. Their vision is to have a consistent brand experience on all digital products, for any brand. Their mission is to enable teams to create better digital products, more consistently and efficiently. They do this by giving access to a single source of truth in design & code. They mainly focus on the global central platform (e.g. https://randstad.co.uk). This website is being built with Orbit. Take a look at what it is: https://randstad.design/ The team - We work with an international team, with different time zones - A dedicated team for the design system with a Product Owner and Developers - We closely work with the feature teams in Global and the Netherlands - Currently Dutch speaking design system team - Single point of contact for all front-end operations within the design system team - Responsible for the overall architecture of the Orbit Design System, including multi-theme. - Responsible for making releases every sprint (bi-weekly) (repository version and NPM package) - Responsible for the development and improvement of components - Translating design requests into front-end solutions and advising the design team on & code governance
